Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Another Anniversary Card

A few weeks ago I shared a wedding anniversary card with you.  We have another family wedding anniversary today and I do not wish to be accused of favouritism, so the card I have to share with you today is not dissimilar.

The papers and sentiment are from a very old Kanban Crafts collection of beautiful papers and card, all embossed with silver or gold and some are printed on mirri card, they are all fabulous and I have been squirreling them away for a long, long time.

I forgot to take a photograph of the slide, so you could see that the front of the card is shorter and the contrasting papers continue on the inside of the card.

That's it from me today.

    1. That is a great idea Carol. I am not that organised. I keep putting everything away before I realise that another anniverary is on the horizon.

  2. Absolutely stunning. I am just the same in making sure nobody feels they've been short changed. It's why my Christmas cards end up all being exactly the same!!!! XXX

    1. Thank you Mrs Beez, but if I am honest, I love these papers and I was very pleased with the elegance of the first anniversary card, so I copied it. I now need to make a third anniversary card but I am rapidly running out of the heart papers. What will I do then? It is not as if I can buy another set!
