Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Grey and Brown Speck Cardigan

I apologise it the photograph of this speckled cardigan makes your eyes go a little funny; I know it has that effect on me!

I made this cardigan for my 2 year old nephew.  I love using this yard and the patterns it creates and it also knits up lovely and chunky.

You can get a better idea with this close-up.

This cardigan is made in King Cole Cherish Double Knit and the pattern Stylecraft 4909.

Take care.

  3. This looks so cozy and the wool colours look almost like gold and silver. I would happily wear an adult sized version! xxx

    1. Ha ha, it does look like gold and silver, I cannot believe that it never occurred to me.

I never cease to be amazed at how different double knit(DK) comes up. They are classed as DK, but they can be really different thicknesses - even amongst the same brand and this one knitted up very chunky and warm.
