Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Butterfly with Calla Lilies

Hi

It's the weekend, the forecast is for a continued heatwave, if a little cooler today, and I am sure you are longing to get outside, so I'll keep this post short.

Followers of my blog will know that for the next few weeks my dear friend and DT buddy Lisette, aka Mrs Beez, has decided that all of her projects will feature a butterfly to show support for the charity Amy and Friends and the work they do to support children suffering from Cockayne Syndrome.  Mrs Beez hopes to raise awareness of the work of Amy and Friends by placing butterflies on all of her projects for the next month.

When Mrs Beez asked me to help her by guesting on her blog I was thrilled and, in my normal fashion, got totally carried away.  Therefore, I have another butterfly card to show you today.

These pretty Calla Lilies are from Stitchy Bear.

The papers are from my favourite Papermania stack, the butterfly is a Memory Box dies and the lace is from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Please pop over to Mrs Beez blog and find out more about Amy and Friends.

Enjoy the sunshine.

  2. Elegantly beautiful card, Dionne. Love the simplicity in your design and the butterfly which always steals the show for me and that lace provides a fab touch as well.
