Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

First Day of School

How was your weekend?  I have been away for a few days.  I had a wonderful time but now it is back to the washing and ironing and, as soon as I get a few minutes, checking all my friend's blogs to see what they have been up to whilst I have been away.

There is still another week to run on the current Crafty Boots Challenge.  The current theme is 'Good Luck'.  I have made this twister easel card to wish my nephew Good Luck when he starts school in September, I know I am a little bit early but the challenge will not be running then!

The image is from Mo's Digital  Pencil and is called Yale.

The papers are by DoveCraft and the peel off's and ribbon are from my stash.

I hope you have a fabulous week and don't forget to pop by the Crafty Boots Challenge blog and enter the challenge.

  1. Such a sweet card. Glad you had a good time away, I've done lots of colouring but not really made anything! Zo xx

  2. Love this fabulous image on this gorgeous card .
Glad you had a wonderful few days away .
    Hugs Emma xx

  3. Hi Dionne
My weekend was rubbish because of my health but managed to play and made myself a new header for my blog. As soon as I saw your post headline it reminded me of my nephew because he is starting his first day at school in September too. I do not think he is looking forward to it. Your twisted easel card is wonderful and the image is soooooo cute.
    Michaela xx
