Her handbag, jumper and skirt knitting patterns are all by Helen Cox and are available from Ravelry.
I could not find a pattern for a replacement hat, so I made one up.
As Daisy the Elf would say 'Not a Creature Was Stirring, Not Even a Mouse'. Big day today. My niece is taking her two little girls to see Santa.
I think that Daisy the Elf looks so very much better in this outfit than does my modelling elf, it really suits Daisy.
I got a bit of a shock when I saw these photographs last evening. Many, many years ago I made the story book out of a kit.
And to think, my niece still reads it to her children ..... and tonight Daisy is reading it to the other toys.
Daisy really does look snug is her yellow and grey outfit.
Back again tomorrow.

A cross dressing elf lol-at least she does look warm and snug and love the little things you create for them and how nice the book has been kept and well looked after but still used

I am so lucky. I have such a lovely family. An aunt turns up on their doorstep with a box and says, I have invented a game, open one present a day and use it that evening to create a scene with your elf. And they do it ... and what's more they send me photos for my blog.
DeleteAnd, as you can see, they take really good care of everything I make for them.

That is brilliant and so nice to hear in these days of broken families.I meant to say to on your comment about making shaped cards like my new year one you just fold the front of card in half -cut of bottom 2" then turn that bit round so the longest piece in front and glue-easy peasy

Oww, thank you for that tip. I must have a go at this shape.

You have created lovely traditions they will remember forever. I love it that Daisy's outfit includes a handbag. You are so good at the details.x
ReplyDeleteI really cannot take the credit for the accessories, they were on the pattern, so I made them to match the outfits!
DeleteBoth of my nieces have created lots of traditions, their mums have a lot to do that, I just added this book and my favouite DVD ... oh and all this elf stuff!
