Last year one of my closest friends bought her granddaughter a little dolls pram for Christmas. I was asked if I could make a couple of blankets for it. Which I did, but I totally forgot to share them after Christmas, so here they are now.
I used the same crochet stitch for both blankets but made different boarders to give the blankets a different look.
I made the red one a little longer and turned down the top edge, tucked some lace from my stash under the fold and added some tiny rosebuds. The white one I gave a very simple fringe - an oldie but a goodie!

Thank you. After all the big people's blankets it was fun to make two tiny ones - they only took a couple of days to make.

These are both gorgeous, very superior pram blankets. Lucky dolls. I live that fringing. X
ReplyDeleteThank you. The fringing is so easy to do, much easier than the scalloped edge.

Wow so beautiful! My great grandma used to crochet and I have a few baby blankets from her. Such a great pattern.
ReplyDeleteThank you, what an honour to be mentioned in the same sentance as your grandmother. This was a pattern I had been using to make something else when my friend asked me to make these blankets and, I was so taken with it, that I adapted it to make these little blankets. Sadly, I cannot remember what it was I had been making and therefore cannot find the pattern now. It was such a versatile little stitch, but I have looked through loads of my patterns and just cannot find it!
