All of my friends know that, whilst I really enjoy knitting, I much prefer to keep my projects small, I have a very low boredom threshold and, if I am honest, I much prefer to use short needles.
Therefore, deciding to make a cot blanket was quite a big thing for me, but in for a penny, in for a pound as they say. So, after looking at a lot of on-line patterns, I decided to have a go at what seemed to me to be the prettiest, but probably most challenging, of the designs.
At the time of starting this project we did not know the sex of the baby so I chose a combination of white and lilac yarn, hoping this was neutral enough.
The pattern for this 'Sweethearts Baby Blanket' is by Anjel Govan. Mind you, I had quite a bit of trouble getting the hang of the pattern and eventually wrote it out in a way I could follow the instructions.
I thought that this lovely design was well worth all of the trouble I had getting my head around the instructions.
I crocheted the squares together and made a crochet shell edging to finish the whole thing off.
Thank you for stopping by, I really appreciate the support of my friends and enjoy reading all of your lovely comments.
I hope you have a great weekend.
