I thought I would share a little chunky jacket with you today. I am afraid that my photographic skills really let me down when it comes to knitted objects and I could really do with some tips on how present them to show them at their best.
It was quite a challenge for me to make this jacket as it had several stitches I had never tackled before, including a cable stitch,
I bought this DK pattern from ebay, it is only referred to at 'Knitting Pattern 398'.

Oh wow!! This is great! Stunning work again. Such patience you have. Temperature has gotten a little warmer in my area as well...I cant wait for the Spring weather. I really dread cold weather. Who did you make this little coat for?
ReplyDeleteThank you. I made this for my new great niece. I actually made about a dozen little cardigans and jackets for her whilst my niece was pregnant. I still have most of them to post.

Beautiful little jacket love the cable stitches

Thank you Carol, this was only my second attempt at cable stitch. This pattern does not require a cable needle, which is just as well because I constantly drop it!

Wow Dionne, I am floored over this one! How beautiful the pattern is, and it looks flawless! I wish I had the stamina for a hobby like this. I started a blanket about a decade ago, and just last year, I finally threw it away. Wonderful work my friend. Hope all is well, sending hugs :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. Knitting came to me late in life, I never had the patience for it when I was younger, I thought it grew so slowly. To be honest, it still grews slowly, which is why I stick to baby and toddler clothes.
