I have never done a picture challenge before and, to be honest, I felt very out of my comfort zone to start with and spent a lot of times thinking about poppies but I was overthinking it and kept coming up with nothing. So, it was back to the theoretical drawing board and I came up with a sunset, I hope you like it.
I raided my Delicious Doodles stash for this scene, it is called 'Sunset at Sea'. I coloured it with my F&C pencils them mounted it on some silver mirri and purple card.
The honeycomb backing paper is from Stampin' Up and the ribbon, shells and sentiment are all from my crafty stash.
As you can see, a picture challenge does not have to be about the obvious, it can also be about one of the other elements - the vista, the sunset, the colours. Have fun playing with this one.
The rest of the Crafty Boots ladies have been busy coming up with ideas which may give you some other ideas, make sure you swing by and take a look for yourself.

Brilliant take on the challenge, your colouring has created such and evocative scene. xx
ReplyDeleteThank you my dear friend. It is noon here and unbelievably hot, I hate to think what it like working in a kitchen.

Beautifully coloured I could just sit and admire it for ages. XOXO
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Zoe, that is one of the nicest comments anyone has ever left.

Hope you don't mind I've pined it on one of my boards.
ReplyDeleteWait - is that a photograph or your drew that?? It is such a stunning image either way! Beautiful! Your second card is so nice!! Its a perfect sketch with the best colors chosen. I could see it on the cover of a mystery book or something..."Whispers in the Night"
ReplyDeleteThe first picture is a photograph - I only coloured the lighthouse image. I am having a laugh out load moment over the title of your mystery book.

Lol indeed! :) Turns out the seagull is the killer in Whispers in the Night mystery book by Dionne. Lol, I'm sorry I'm kidding around too much! I hope you understand my humor hehe. Have a good night :)
DeleteThey are vicious little things, have you ever see them fight over a ham sandwich? I would not be at all surprized if the seagull dun it!
