Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Pawsome Christmas

I have just managed to slip this post in under the wire to count as Christmas in July.

This jocular little Scottie dog is from the Hunkydory kit Festive Fun in their Adorable Scorable range.  All of the elements for this card have come from the kit and I have kept the design as flat as possible as I intend to send it through the post.

If you have been taking part in the Christmas in July madness, I hope you had fun.

Up, Up and Away!

It's a busy day, so I am keeping this post short.

I have another card to share with you today using a Hunkydory Craft kit.  Everything you see, other than the silver mirri card, sentiment and Card Candy, come from this adorably sweet kit - sorry I cannot remeber what this kit is called.

Have a good weekend.

Have a Mooovelous Day

It's very nearly to end of July, where do the months go?  Thank you from stopping by today, I love it when I get visitors, especially when you leave a comment to say hi.

My card today was from a rather sweet Hunkydory kit.  This kit is full of whimsical characters and cringeworthy sentiments, so adorable.  Apart from the gold card, pearls and birthday sentiment, everything else came from the kit.

I hope you have a simply mooovelous day.

Estate Vineyards

 I hope you are well?

I find it very hard to find suitable images for masculine cards.  However, these papers from Kanban Crafts hit the spot.  The papers and pre-coloured topper are from a very old set of papers bought years ago from QVC,  all I needed to add were some pearls, to define the corners, and Glossy Accents to give the glass a 'wet' look.

Make the most of the rest of the week.

Tournée du Chat Noir

Two similar cards today, both with a topper based on the poster Tournée du Chat Noir de Rodolphe Salis by Théophile-Alexandre Steinlen, I just love this spiky little cat.

I used elements from a very old Kanban Crafts kit to make these cards.  I have a great stash of these kits from QVC, which have just been stacked upstairs gathering dust since I moved on to using digi stamps and Promarkers.  However, with the demise of my old desktop PC, I have dug out some of these old kits and started to give them my own design twists.  The Card Candy, silver mirri and glitter card are from my crafty stash.

Have a good day.

Flapper Girl

I have three cards for the price of one today.  This image of a very trendy Flapper is from an old kit by Kanban Crafts which I bought from QVC way back in the Dawn Bibby days.  The backing card and sentiments are also from Kanban, the ribbon, pear;s and Glossy Accents are from my stash.

The backing cards are beautifully highlighted with gold foil and I added Glossy Accents to her hair and I placed a few pearls around the design.

Hopefully, I shall be back with more cards tomorrow.

Penguin Parade

Christmas card number three, not a bad start to my pile of cards for this Christmas, 3 down just 97 to go.

These cute toppers with matching backing papers come from the Hunkydory kit 'Festive Fun' from their Adorable Scorable range.  I have tried to keep this card as flat as possible because I intend to send it through the post.  The ribbon is the only elements from my crafting stash.

Hopefully, I will manage at least one more Christmas card before July is out.
