In the Pink

I am sure you are well aware that this is 'Breast Cancer Awareness' month and that this is a really important issue, which we all need to get behind.  Crafty Boots Challenges wants to lend their support to this cause and for the next two weeks they want to see 'pink' in our projects.


This little sweetie is Cherry Pip, one of the Sherbet Pip collection from Funky Kits.  I coloured the stamped image with my polychromos pencils and then mounted it on some silver mirri and pink card.


The pink backing paper is from Stampin' Up and I cut the circular shapes from some left over Stampin' Up paper.  The pearl trim was from Wild Orchid Crafts and the lace and sentiment were from my stash.

My lovely team mates at Crafty Boots Challenges have also been busy with their paper and glue, please check out their work for yourself when you enter your pink projects.

    Such a pretty card Dionne! A lovely image and the ruffle lace is so feminine and pretty!! I do hope you are keeping well and having a lovely autumn. We are finally getting cooler weather, thank goodness!! Our leaves are turning as lovely as they should but we've had some misty days, which I just love!! Any luck with the camera? sending hugs :)

      Thank you, I am still not sure about that ruffle, it's a bit fussy for me, your comments are very reasuring.

      Ever since we unwrapped the camera I think it has rained every day, so we really have not had the opportunity to play with it yet, I am definately a fair weather photographer.

    Love the cute image love the bling and lace-but can I just say without causing offence I think the lace would have looked better stretched across the two smaller edges too

      I am not happy about the lace but I used a glue gun and there was no moving it once it was stuck in place and I just had to live with it. My tastes run more CAS as a rule.

    Very nice card. I agree about getting the message out about breast cancer awareness. I'm glad pink is associated with it because it becomes a trigger reminder of how early detection is basically the first and foremost important way to determine if one has the cancer.

      I saw a TV rogramme this week where they showed a pet dog being trained to sniff out breast cancer. How amazing is that, so much simpler and less intrusive than scans.
