Lisette has called this challenge 'You Are My Sunshine' and we are hoping to see lots of projects using sunny colours. To me this means lots of yellow, however, there are some objects which also say sunshine to me, like sunflowers. The other day I spotted a garden full of big, beautiful sunflowers, it was an amazing sight.
I used one of my Sherbet Pip rubber stamps for this card, 'Apple Pip' is one of the Sugar Nellie range from Funky Kits. I coloured the stamp with Promarkers and then mounted it on gold mirri card with some lemon coloured card. The fabulous sunflower paper is from a K & Co paper stack designed by Tim Coffey.
The adorable chrysanthemums are from Wild Orchid Crafts, as are the leaves. The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards and the rosette die is from Sizzix.

Gorgeous Dionne! Love the girl image, and I have to agree with you about yellow definitely being the first thought when you say sunshine. The sunflowers work really well took, and the WOC flowers are such a great accent. Hope you had a great weekend. hugs :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Pamellia, I think this is one of my favourite rubber stamps (especially of my more recent purchases), it is a little tricky to colour but well work it.

This is so pretty. Love the colour choices for her dress (I'd like a real life version of that!)and the sunflower paper is so effective - I would never have thought of using it in that way. xx
ReplyDeleteThank you. That dress makes me sweat when I colour it, you have to really concentrate to keep withing the lines but it is a great feeling when it goes well. I was wondering what you meant by not thinking to use the paper that way - do you mean as a backing paper? It was very tempting not to cover it, but you can still see it despite all the embellishments.
