Chocolate Pip Take II

Happy Good Friday.

Hot-cross buns! Hot-cross buns!
One a penny, two a penny, Hot-cross buns,
If you have no daughters, give them to your sons,
One a penny, two a penny, Hot-cross buns!

Were you up early today to have warmed Hot-Cross buns with your breakfast?  A UK supermaket chain has been advertising bacon in your Hot-Cross bun - I am very tempted to try this but I have not quite plucked up the courage yet!

My card this morning features another of my favourite Easter images, this one is called Chocolate Pip and it is one of the Sherbet Pip range from Sugar Nellies.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and mounted it on Real Red card and gold mirri.  The coordinated backing paper is from Stampin' Up.  The little egg shapes were cut with an X Cut die, the bakers twine was from my stash and the sentiment was made on my computer.

You still have time to enter your Easter projects in the current Crafty Boots Challenge.

  1. She is so cute. Loving the mono red, sparkling eggs and the way you have used the twine.

    1. Thank you Desire, I seemed to be having a thing about red recently! Funny how you get attached to one colour from time to time.

  2. More fabulous colouring and another great image. I absolutely love all the red and patterns on this one and of course, the glittery eggs which remind me of one of my favourite Easter books - The Golden Egg, not to be confused with the 70s restaurant chain!!! xx

  3. PS - Forgot to say that I am longing to try the bacon in a hot cross bun and am very tempted to do it tomorrow. However, I also want to do French toast with one. Unfortunately, Heston's Cherry Bakewell version was very disappointing!! xx

    1. You cannot beat a traditional Hot-Cross bun (just as long as it hasn't go nasty peel in it!).
