Blue and White Letter

Thank you for dropping by.  The current Challenge at Crafty Boots Challenges is 'Blue and White' and today I wanted to share with you an initial letter 'N' covered in blue and white buttons.

I was so pleased with how this one turned out.

I purchased an 8 inch MDF letter from Barry on ebay.  I gave it a coat of Gesso and, once that was dry, I painted it light blue using acrylic paint.  I also purchased a bag of mixed blue buttons from ebay and used these to cover the painted letter, the bag of buttons contained some very interesting shapes and textures.  Once everything was dry I cleaned any excess glue from the surface.
